Associate Professor/Associate Chair/English & Modern Languages Department, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
English and Modern Languages seeks an Associate Professor to serve as Associate Chair of the department. Qualified candidates should have experience in teaching Creative and Professional Writing, Grammar, Drama, and early World or British Literatures. Ph.D. or equivalent preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with higher education teaching experience and department chair/leadership experience. The Associate Chair will assist with hiring, scheduling, departmental events, student research and internships, recruitment, faculty mentoring and other duties as assigned. In addition, this annual 10-month annual faculty contract and tenure track position will carry a required teaching load each fall and spring semester. Administrative Responsibilities
